What is the Card Verification Number?
This is security-protection for your credit card.

The Card Verification Number (often referred to as CVS or CVV2) is a three- or four-digit number imprinted in the cards. It is used to assist in verifying that you are actually in possession of the card in question and helps to protect you against fraudulent purchases.

How to find the CVS or CVV2:

On a Visa or MasterCard, look for the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card.

On American Express Cards, look for the 4-digit number printed above your account number on the face of your credit card.

On the back of your Discover Card, look for the 3-digit number printed on the signature panel on the back of your card.
